This is the first installment of a collection of heavy jams we began documenting on 12/30/22, what started out as just an impromptu hang turned into an epic night of all out sonic mayhem. Typically a Bread Collectors session consists of a more focused approach of composing an idea and then fine-tuning that piece of music for the remainder of the evening. Usually tracking several different takes and/or versions before settling on the best one of the evening and then developing it over time. Well on this evening leading in to New Years Eve that all went out the window, we pressed record and just kept playing. We had so much fun we decided to do it again a few weeks later, this added a whole new approach to what we could do in the studio. You never know what the addition of our invited guest collaborator will pull out of us during these sessions. Our good pal Jonathan Steele brought the energy and inspiration for these tracks and we provided the space and the rhythm for it to manifest in to what you hear on this release. I think Willie Nelson put it best: "the life I love is making music with my friends" and that is what we do. Thanks for listening --Joe
